Christopher Frates – Director, Corporate Communications
Christopher Frates has more than 15 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience working in communications and patient advocacy. He is currently Director of Corporate Communications at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, where he oversees public relations, social media, internal communications and patient advocacy activities.
Prior to joining Intercept, Christopher worked in professional advertising and public relations in the healthcare practice at Havas and served as Chief Strategist at Lazar Partners, a strategic communications firm serving the medical device and biopharma industries. Christopher has a B.A. in English from New York University.

Erica Puntel is a member of UCB’s Corporate Communications team in the U.S. In her role, she is tasked with growing UCB’s digital footprint to increase corporate brand awareness and influence. She has also reimagined the strategy for UCB’s nonbranded, disease state properties to establish value both for UCB and for patients. Erica is a leader within the organization, and her strategic guidance related to digital advertising, event communications, media relations, and analytics reporting has helped establish the communications team as a center of excellence within UCB.
Prior to joining UCB, Erica spent 11 years at CNN providing strategic leadership for the overall publicity of CNN Digital, including business ventures, product launches, editorial coverage, and industry differentiators. She also drove consumer and tech coverage of CNN’s product strategy (for products like CNNgo, Snapchat Discover, Apple News) through traditional media and social channels. Earlier in her career, Erica worked as a Legislative Aide in the Ohio House of Representatives.
Erica holds a bachelor’s degree from Hope College and a Master’s Degree from the Ohio State University. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and two sons.
Dr. Roshini Raj is a board certified gastroenterologist and internist with a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and an undergraduate degree from Harvard. She is an attending physician and an Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine and has also spent the last decade educating the public on leading healthy and more balanced lives. Dr. Raj is a TODAY Show contributor, a core expert on The Dr. Oz Show, the Good Day New York Medical Correspondent (Fox5) and the Medical Editor of Health Magazine. In August 2010, she released her first book, What the Yuck?! The Freaky & Fabulous Truth About Your Body. Dr. Raj has discussed a wide variety of health and lifestyle topics on a range of network and cable shows, including NBC’s TODAY Show, ABC’s The View, LIVE with Kelly and Michael, and Good Morning America, among others. Dr. Raj has been quoted in several publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Health, Dr. Oz, The GoodLife, Women’s Health and Fitness for her knowledge of healthy living and the latest health news. In Fall 2014, Dr. Raj co-founded TULA, a healthy living / beauty brand. TULA’s skincare line uses a patented complex of probiotics and other superfood ingredients to protect and nourish the skin
